Paws To Bark Inc. – Client Policies & Service Terms

Thank you for choosing Paws To Bark Inc.


We are proud to provide professional dog waste removal services throughout Hamilton and surrounding areas. To ensure reliable, consistent service for all clients, please review our policies below.


 Service Schedule


Paws To Bark provides:

  • Weekly dog waste removal
  • Bi-weekly dog waste removal
  • One-time cleanups / spring cleans
  • Backyard deodorizer treatments
  • Bucket service
  • Commercial dog waste station maintenance


Service days are based on routing and may occasionally change due to weather, holidays, route optimization, or operational needs.

We do our best to remain on your scheduled service day; however, exact arrival times are not guaranteed.


2. Billing & Payment Policy

Recurring services are billed monthly at a flat rate.

Monthly pricing is calculated using:

Weekly or bi-weekly service rate × 52 weeks ÷ 12 months

This allows for predictable monthly billing throughout the year.

Payments are due upon invoice receipt. Late or declined payments may result in temporary suspension of service until the balance is paid.

Paws To Bark reserves the right to charge late fees on overdue accounts.


3. Weather & Winter Service Policy

We continue service year-round whenever conditions allow.

However, service may be delayed or postponed during:

  • Heavy snow
  • Ice storms
  • Unsafe yard conditions
  • Severe freezing or thawing conditions

During freeze/thaw periods, waste may become frozen to the ground and may not be removable until temperatures improve.

No guarantees are made for one-time cleanups during winter freeze periods.

For safety and quality reasons, yards should be reasonably accessible and free of dangerous ice buildup.


4. Snow & Yard Accessibility

Clients are responsible for maintaining safe access to their property.

Please ensure:

  • Gates can open properly
  • Pathways are reasonably clear
  • Excessive snow or dangerous ice is removed
  • Dogs are secured when necessary

If access to the yard is blocked, frozen shut, unsafe, or inaccessible, service may be skipped and charged as a scheduled visit.


5. Gate Policy

Please ensure all gates are unlocked and accessible on service day.

Paws To Bark is not responsible for damages caused by defective, frozen, loose, or improperly maintained gates.

We make every effort to securely close gates after service. Clients should notify us immediately if they have special gate instructions.


6. Dog Safety Policy

For the safety of our staff, Paws To Bark reserves the right to refuse service where a dog displays aggressive behaviour.

Friendly dogs are welcome; however:

  • Aggressive dogs must be secured
  • Dogs that bite, charge, or create unsafe conditions may require owner supervision
  • Staff may skip service if they feel unsafe

Client and staff safety always comes first.


7. Satisfaction Policy

Your satisfaction matters to us.

If you believe an area was missed, please contact us within 24 hours of service.

We will review the concern and, if necessary, return to address legitimate missed areas.

Please note:

  • Heavy leaf coverage
  • Long grass
  • Frozen waste
  • Hidden areas
  • Dog waste added after service

may impact cleanup quality.


8. Backyard Deodorizer Service

Paws To Bark offers bio-enzyme deodorizer treatments in Original and Orange Blossom scents.

Deodorizer helps reduce pet waste odours but does not permanently eliminate smells or replace proper yard maintenance.

Results may vary depending on:

  • Heat
  • Rain
  • Yard conditions
  • Number of dogs
  • Existing buildup

9. One-Time Cleanup / Spring Clean Policy

Spring cleans and one-time services require reasonable yard accessibility.

Pricing is based on:

  • Yard condition
  • Number of dogs
  • Time required
  • Waste volume

Quotes may be adjusted if conditions differ substantially from what was described.

Yards must be reasonably free of snow and ice for spring clean service.


10. Missed Visits & Holidays

In some situations, service may be delayed due to:

  • Severe weather
  • Staff illness
  • Holidays
  • Route interruptions

If a scheduled visit is missed due to operational reasons, we will reschedule as soon as possible.


11. Property Damage

While we take great care while servicing your property, Paws To Bark is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing property damage
  • Weak or damaged gates/fences
  • Hidden objects in long grass
  • Damage caused by unsafe property conditions

Any concerns must be reported promptly.


12. Service Cancellation

Clients may cancel service at any time.

We kindly request reasonable notice before your next scheduled visit.

Outstanding balances must be paid before account closure.


13. Communication

Clients are responsible for informing Paws To Bark of:

  • New dogs
  • Schedule changes
  • Gate code changes
  • Aggressive behaviour concerns
  • Property access issues
  • Vacation holds
